TransGlobal and LogiTech Launch Joint Venture for Eco-Friendly Logistics in Europe

Global logistics leader TransGlobal and renowned German logistics firm LogiTech recently announced the establishment of a strategic joint venture named Global Logistics Solutions (GLS), aimed at offering high-efficiency decarbonization logistics services.

 

GLS will leverage the expertise and resources of TransGlobal and LogiTech to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions for the container transport sector in Europe, especially in Germany. These solutions include comprehensive door-to-door transportation services designed to enhance efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. Additionally, GLS plans to expand its multimodal transport operations, optimize supply chain processes, and foster innovation in the industry.

 

Initially, GLS will primarily focus on the German market.

 

Founded in 1985, LogiTech owns 28 electric locomotives, over 800 rail wagons, and 4,500 standard containers, serving 22 major ports across Europe.

 

LogiTech CEO Friedrich Bauer expressed excitement about the partnership, saying, "We are thrilled to embark on this journey with TransGlobal. By combining our strengths in multimodal transport with TransGlobal's expertise in global shipping and logistics, we will create a sustainable solution that meets our customers' evolving needs."

 

Julia Stein, Senior Vice President of Assets and Operations at TransGlobal, also expressed optimism about the collaboration: "The potential of our cooperation with LogiTech is immense. Together, we will offer innovative and eco-friendly logistics solutions to our customers."
